Dreamy Florals with Eve Flowers

Meet Sam Kauffmann – a true ray of sunshine and the owner of Eve Flowers in Uralla NSW. Sam has a passion for helping you celebrate all the big moments in your life with stunning seasonal and organic florals. Offering styling and events, workshops and even a cozy Airbnb in the heart of Uralla, Eve Flowers is your one-stop shop for all things beautiful. Read her story below.

Tell us a little about Eve Flowers…

I’m a qualified florist (with the heart of a gardener), a flower farmer and an Airbnb host – Eve Flowers is an independent florist striving for sustainability in everything we do. We create unique, seasonal, garden-style designs using our own organically-grown flowers and are proud supporters of fellow Australian farmers. Eve Flowers is actually celebrating its sixth birthday this month!

Why did you start?

I was desperate to return to the workforce after being a stay-at-home mum for six years! It was time to create a flexible job for myself and realise a lifelong dream of growing flowers and having a flower shop. I also firmly believe that, like a chemist or a bakery, a florist is an essential part of any community. I’ve come to realise the importance of being there and sharing the big moments with beauty, compassion and love.

What has been your most memorable moment?

Opening the shop in Uralla in 2019 was a big moment for us.

What do you have planned for the future?

We’re building our first greenhouse this winter, which should significantly increase our growing season and mean we can host workshops on the farm. We’re also opening seven days a week starting August 2023 – Uralla is positively buzzing on the weekends and we’ve had many requests to open Sundays.

If you could give someone one piece of advice about starting a small business, what would it be?

Get help as soon as possible – whether it’s employees or outsourcing professional services. It’s so important to have people who support your vision and help keep your dream alive.
