ARC-EN CIEL TROUT FARM

The trout has a loyal following from its decades of operation and dedication to quality products. Its multi medal winning fresh and smoked trout may be purchased at the farm gate or specialty food retailers and events throughout the state. Bliss Nundle

Bliss Nundle brings together giftware, homewares and gourmet food items with an emphasis on Australian made. Owner Dee Humbles creates a blissful setting with fairy lights, and pleasing scents from handmade candles, wax melts and soaps. Crawney’s Hills to Grills

Cameron and Danielle Douglass run a family butchery linking customers directly to their grass fed, grain finished, beef, lamb and pork raised on their Nundle farm. Their meat packs are GMO, hormone and antibiotic free and delivered in convenient vacuum sealed pouches, labelled and packed into a cooler box. Crawney’s Hills to Grills meat is also stocked at a growing number of retailers throughout the region.

DAG Sheep Station Singer Songwriters Retreat

The DAG Sheep Station, hosted by John and Belinda Krsulja, is a much loved venue for weddings, conferences, theatre, and country music. Fossickers’ Tourist Park

Machina Coffee and Donuts

The scent and taste of freshly made cinnamon donuts and coffee draws visitors from across the region to Steve Whale’s Machina Coffee and Donuts. Set up in a shipping container at the main intersection in Nundle, customers park with ease, order their morning treat and enjoy it at outdoor tables in the sunny garden. The historic brick house that shares the block has been renovated as Riders’ Rest accommodation.

Mount Misery Gold Mine Cafe and Museum

The cafe and museum is a must-visit to learn about the gold mining heritage of Nundle and Hanging Rock. It’s also a central location for hiring gold panning equipment. The stone building is full of character, built in the 1870s, and business owner Lyn Melrose is generous and welcoming. The outdoor seating has a spectacular vista across the village and surrounding countryside. You can even stay at the guesthouse above the cafe.

Nundle Court House Museum

Open weekends, the volunteer-run museum has a large collection of domestic, commercial and farm artefacts providing insight into the heritage of Nundle and surrounds. Of particular interest is information about the 1948 Lutana DC-3 aircraft crash. Built in 1880 by local builder George Davidson, it is listed by the Australian Heritage Commission as a fine example of 19th Century colonial architecture.

Nundle Pie Company

You may know Laura, Brad and Ben from Nundle Pie Company by attending one of the region’s food markets. Their pop-up stalls usually have a line up of customers eager for their brisket pies made in Nundle, and sell out fast. Nundle Woollen Mill

The mill offers one of the few experiences in Australia where visitors can see the process of spinning wool into yarn. Yarn made on site and knitting and crochet accessories delight crafters, while owners Nick and Kylie Bradford also showcase an extensive collection of woollen clothing and homewares. Twice daily tours are a must see at this nationally recognised tourism destination.

Odgers and McClelland Exchange Stores

Duncan and Megan Trousdale fill their 1891 general store with quality must-haves for the kitchen and garden. Keen gardeners and cooks on their small farm, Megan and Duncan know quality tools to help with growing, preserving and sharing food. Entering the 133-year-old building is a step-back-in-time experience, the traditional goods made from natural materials evoking the past, but just as relevant for today.

Oakenville Farm Store

Apothecary, pamper and food goods at Oakenville Farm Store are nearly always made or grown by owners herbalist Rachel Webster and singer songwriter Jeff Gibson on their small farm. Rachel makes and prescribes natural remedies for health ailments, and offers therapeutic services including infrared sauna, foot detox and pilates instruction. The store mirrors their off-grid, permaculture life and shares skills through regular workshops.

Old Church Boutique

Van Zalm Designs

Peggy Van Zalm creates and sells one off hand crafted crochet fashion designs from a pop-up store in the the chamber of the Bank of NSW building. You’ll find pure wool beanies, berets, wraps, vests and more. Peggy also offers custom designs and fashion styling consultations, drawing on experience working in a busy dress shop.
